ATA Employment Solutions is accepting applications for a full-time Welder for a trailer manufacturer in Union City, TN. We are looking for experienced people who know how to work in a team environment that can provide high quality performance. This is a Technologically Advanced Integrated manufacturing facility producing a high-quality product with new state of the art manufacturing equipment.

Salary: $15-$18/hour with competitive benefits
Schedule: M - F 6am-2:30pm. Some overtime may be required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An individual must be able to pass a welding test before employment is considered. Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, and reporting as required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The employee must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing all aspects of welding work.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains all aspects of workplace organization.
  • Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all company policies to eliminate and or reduce exposure to liability.
  • Special projects or work as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ability to utilize welding equipment and processes specified by the company.
  • Maintain and calibrate welding equipment.
  • Blueprint reading; ability to read and interpret drawing for dimensions and weld patterns to determine quality adherence to engineering requirements. Ability to read process, procedure and instruction manuals.
  • Math/Measuring; demonstrate ability to count, add, subtract fractions and decimals; Read a tape measure to 1/16” increments.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Required: High school education or equivalent, basic welding knowledge, ability to read blueprints and recognize weld symbols
  • Desired: 2+ years of experience in MIG welding & fitting
  • Required: Driver's License
  • Required Certification
